Dear Aunt Marcia and Uncle Harold,
Been thinking about you all week. We are so sorry to hear about Nanny Evelyn - yet, we are grateful to have had the privilege of knowing her. My memories go back about 45 years. Spending time in the yard in LB and in your first house in Merrick. We always enjoyed being with Nanny and we all knew that she enjoyed us.  How special to have lived such a long life.  We know it wasn't always easy for her, but she never showed her pain. She and Grandpa Roger were always fun to be around. These memories will always live on.
We are sorry we could not be with you to comfort you. You have shown our generation the meaning of "Kibud Aime" honoring one's mother. You have been an amazing daughter.  May we celebrate good health, long life and simchas in the coming years.

Our entire family grieves with Evelyn's only surviving child, Marcia.  Our sister-in-law, Aunt, Great Aunt and Great, Great Aunt. The Matriarch of her family. Evelyn left us, just four months short of completing her 103rd year. We all feel privileged to have known her and to have been part of her life. It was a long life with a special partner with whom she will now be reunited. They shared may happy and sad times but always came through as shining examples of those with great faith and strength to carry on and look to the future. They saw grandchildren and  great grandchildren and thrived in that pleasure. Evelyn was a beautiful, dignified, elegant woman. The Matriarch of her generation. A  true Eishes Chayil to her beloved Roger!  The care and attention she received from her daughter, Marcia, shows us that the lessons taught in the home have raised another Matriarch, the Crown is now passed down to our special "sister, aunt" the Eishes Chayil of our dear brother and uncle Harold.... Take the strength from your Mother and be strong. May you be comforted with all the mourners of our people, Israel. May we share many Simchas in the coming years.
