As a young New York City fashion designer and illustrator, Grace traveled with her mother to Miami Beach during the winter of 1951. While enjoying the warm Florida sunshine, Grace met Bob, a dapper young man who drove a new Cadillac convertible from his home in Hartford, Connecticut. It was love at first sight under the swaying coconut palms. The couple were soon married and settled in Windsor, CT, moving next to West Hartford CT to accommodate their expanding family.
With a growing family in tow, Grace and Bob would return to sunny Florida as their residence. Their sprawling home in Hollywood was a menagerie of children and pets. The family resided there for 33 years. Grace and Bob moved to Dania Beach and later, Grace resided in Pompano Beach and then Ft. Lauderdale.
Grace will be remembered for her love of art, fashion, music, old classic films, animals and most of all, her love of family. She was a proud mother, grandmother and great grandmother with a witty sense of humor. She appreciated the little things in life and didn’t take anything or anyone for granted. Grace will be immensely missed by her loving family.
