Hugo Zarnel and his sister Ruth were the children of Robert and Esther Beila Zarnicer. In 1940 Hugo and Ruth were deported to the Gurs Internment camp in France. They were both rescued by the OSE (French Children’s Aid Society). They eventually made their way to the United States, where they had some family. Hugo was a survivor in life, he was strong willed, intelligent, and in his eighties, he was the President of his computer club at Century Village for years. He was a wonderful husband to his lovely wife Raymonde (who loved him very much) a wonderful father to his daughter Evelyn and his son Alfred (who passed away of Covid in Dec. 2020), and a wonderful grandfather. Everyone liked Hugo everywhere he went. Hugo will be missed by all who knew him, he has left his mark on this world and he will always be remembered as being a good man.
A funeral service for HUGO will be held Sunday, June 26, 2022 from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM at Star of David Memorial Gardens Cemetery and Funeral Chapel, 7701 Bailey Road, North Lauderdale, FL 33068, followed by a committal service from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM.
