We had many fun dinners in Florida dining out with Irwin and Barbara when we went there for a few winter months in recent years... we knew him a relatively short time but Irwin was a lovely man for sure who will be missed.

Irwin was one of the funniest men I ever met.  You were sure to be well entertained if you had dinner with him.  His stories and jokes went back decades.  My deepest sympathies to Barbara and his children and grandchildren.   Rest in Peace. 

By looking at those fabulous pictures, it confirmed the first thing I always remember when I think of Mr. Salbe... his smile, and his tremendous love for his family. I’ve know him since I was a kid, and always adored him!! He was such a kind soul. Not a bad bone in his body.  
Mrs. Salbe, Steven, Jodi, David, and all the other loved ones In his family I’m so very sorry for your beyond heart wrenching loss. 
I’m so glad you each have such special memories of him, he loved each and everyone so so much! 
I am so glad he is no longer in pain, and that we all have a special angel in heaven, looking over and taking care of all who loved him!

I also remember when he was a  board member in palmair i used to call him Mr. Tuffy when he walked in and he wood laugh at me he was a great man  Rest In Peace🙏

“Mr. Salbe” will always be a huge part of my childhood memories on Vassar Lane.  Like all our dads, he was larger than life. I remember him coming home from work at the end of the day and waving hello to us kids and asking how our day was. I remember him at the BBQ with our dads and sitting in the driveway with all our parents in the summer as we played in the street. He had a great smile and a great sense of humor.  I loved him and know he genuinely loved my brothers and me . You will be missed but will never be forgotten. Say hello to my dad when you get to Heaven. ❤️🙏🏻

I  met Irwin when he served on the board of directors for Palmaire Country Club and he was a loving caring individual who cared about the residents and worked very hard to improve the association. My thoughts and prayers are with his wife Barbara and family. Susan Crossman

His sense of humor, his jokes, his kindness, his direct response and guidance, his honesty, his convictions, his thoughtfulness, his humorous stories, his straightforward language, his caring, his acceptance, his sharing, his help when you were down, his beliefs, his love for his religion, his ride to BJs and the book stores for his crime stories, his serving on the board of directors of the condo. His ear, his insight, his inspiring words and thoughts will be extremely missed but never forgotten. I am a better person for having this truly great person and had the privilege of his company.
