Jeffrey Kahn passed away on September 3, 2021. A Florida resident for almost 30 years, Jeff was born in Brooklyn on April 3, 1950, and grew up in Bethpage, Long Island, NY. He graduated Bethpage High School in 1968 and attended college, where he earned an Associates Degree. Jeff was a gifted athlete but also had natural ability in music, painting, dancing and math. Jeffrey was a born fighter. He faced many life challenges in his early twenties and worked toward living a completely independent life. Here he was loved and supported by his parents Murray and Vivian, his brothers Eliott and Sanford, his longtime friend Joe, as well as his friend Sirje. Jeffrey cared for both his parents in their declining years. He had a good heart and his kindness, humor and warm smile were infectious. That smile was earned from years of overcoming adversity. Jeff loved life and enjoyed it; you couldn’t help but love him. Jeff battled cancer for the past ten years and there was hope that he might win the battle, however, he couldn’t overcome a new diagnosis of a different cancer—esophageal. Unfortunately, this silent killer won, and Jeff passed away suddenly. He was surrounded by his two brothers and girlfriend, who loved him dearly and told him so many times. The family requests those who wish to express sympathy make a donation to either esophageal or any cancer research. There is still so much work to be done for early diagnosis and a cure. Rest in peace Great Son, Great Brother, Best Friend. You made us all better people. We love you and will never forget you!
