Joyce Rodgers Earl, 81, of Lauderdale Lakes, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and faithful friend whose life was defined by kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith.
Born on September 20, 1944, in St. Catherine, Jamaica, to Inez Wilson and Roy Rodgers, Joyce was raised in a home rooted in faith and strong values. In the 1960s, she moved to Kingston, where she met her beloved husband, Renville Earl. Together, they built a life grounded in love and commitment and raised four children: Chevarlo, Stephen, Craig, and Michele.
In pursuit of greater opportunities, Joyce and Renville migrated to Brooklyn, New York, in the 1970s, later settling in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida, in the 1980s. They shared almost 60 years of marriage, a testament to their enduring love and partnership.
Joyce dedicated many years to healthcare, compassionately caring for others. She was also a devoted member of Berean Church of God, where her faith in God remained central to her life.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Renville; her children; her grandchildren, Stephen, Javon, Cayla, Shyne, Jayden, Honor, Caliyah, and Peta-Gaye; her sisters, Delores and Maureen; and a host of extended family and friends.
Joyce’s legacy of love, faith, and compassion will live on in all who knew her.
Visitation will be held at Star of David Memorial Chapel, Main Chapel, 7701 Bailey Road, North Lauderdale, FL 33068, US, on April 10, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Visitation will also be held at Berean Church of God, 3601 Davie Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312, on April 11, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a Funeral Service at the same location on April 11, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
Mausoleum Entombment will take place at Bailey Memorial Gardens, Devotion B, 7801 Bailey Road, North Lauderdale, Florida 33068, US, on April 11, 2026, at 2:30 pm.
