Joyce Rodgers Earl, 81, of Lauderdale Lakes, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026. Born in St. Catherine, Jamaica, to Inez Wilson and Roy Rodgers, Joyce grew up with a foundation of faith, love, and resilience.
After completing her schooling in the 1960s, she moved to Kingston, Jamaica, where she met her beloved husband, Renville Earl. In the 1970s, Joyce and Renville reluctantly left their sons in the care of family and migrated to Brooklyn, New York, seeking greater opportunities. While in the U.S., they were blessed with two more children, completing their family of four. Joyce and Renville shared over 60 years of love, partnership, and devotion. Later, the family relocated to South Florida, where Joyce continued to nurture her loved ones and serve her community.
Joyce was loving, generous, and selfless. The type of person who would give the shirt off her back. She dedicated many years to a career in healthcare and was a faithful member of Berean Church of God.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Renville Earl; her children, Chevarlo, Stephen, Craig, and Michele; her grandchildren, Stephen, Javon, Cayla, Shyne, Jayden, Honor, and Caliyah; her sisters, Delores and Maureen; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Joyce will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
