Laurence "Larry" Adelman

Born December 17, 1946, in Chicago to Helen and Joe Adelman, Larry grew up on the North Side

with his sister, Karen. He loved his Chicago roots and was a lifelong Cubs and Blackhawks fan who

later embraced the Florida Panthers.

Larry earned his law degree from DePaul Law School and built a career helping people as a

personal injury attorney.

Larry met Eileen in 1968, and they married in 1970. She was the love of his life and devoted partner

for 56 years. They raised Jeffrey and Scott. The family moved to Coral Springs in 1985, where Larry

lived for more than three decades. Jeffrey joined his practice in 2002, and they worked together at

Adelman & Adelman.

Larry was deeply loved by family and friends. He cherished being “Papa Larry” to Benjamin and

Jacob and loved reading, history, music, travel, hockey, and Lord of the Rings.

Larry is survived by Eileen; Jeff and daughter-in-law Jessica; grandsons Benjamin and Jacob; Scott;

sister Karen Schaner and brother-in-law Marty Schaner; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jerry and

Renee Cohen; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Joe and Marcia Liss.

Funeral services will be Sunday, August 23, at 11:45 a.m. at Star of David Memorial Gardens

Cemetery & Funeral Chapel, North Lauderdale.

Shiva will be observed at the home of Jeffrey and Jessica Adelman on Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.

and Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Please contact the family for the address.
