Lola was born and raised in Manchester England. She was a devoted daughter who lived with and cared for her mother. Following her mother‘s passing, Lola moved to North Miami Beach, Florida to live with her brother and his family. She enjoyed her work with young children as a teachers’ aide at the nearby Hillel school. She loved her family and all things English. She kept her wonderful, dry English sense of humor and her beautiful accent until the end.
Lola is survived by her niece, Vicki Stolberg, and her husband, Byron Townsend, her nephew, Gary Stolberg, and his wife, Linda Stolberg, and her grand nephew, Hale, and grand niece Ilana.
She was predeceased by her parents, Celia and Goody Stolberg, and her brother, Dennis Stolberg, and sister-in-law, Joyce Stolberg.
The family would like to thank the staff of Gidwitz and especially The Friend Center for taking such wonderful care of Lola for so many years and always making her feel like English royalty.
Special thanks also to our cousins, Ronnie and Mark Neckes for being so devoted to Lola and calling her and checking on her regularly.
