Loren Dale Wolper

Loren (Lory) Dale Stone Wolper passed away on November 24, 2023 after a long battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of her high school sweetheart, Jimmy, for 50 years. Having grown up in New Hyde Park, NY, she spent the past 40 years residing in Fort Myers, Florida. She was a graduate of American University.

Lory loved traveling the world with her family, and her friends, who were also her extended family. She earned a reputation for hosting the best cocktail hours, making strong gimlets, and delicious cheese boards. Most importantly, she raised two kind and incredible children.

While Lory endured a number of health hardships, she always celebrated life with her loyal friendship and fierce, legendary devotion to her family: best friend and superlative mom to Jen/Jaret Turkell, Matt/Kelli Wolper; cherished younger sister of Bruce Stone (Michele Stone, Jesse/Kate Stone and Timmy/Jeannie Stone); passionate and infinitely loved partner to her surviving husband, Jimmy; iconic Nanny to Jaxson and Carter Wolper, and Jacob, Lilah and Jules Turkell; loving daughter of the late Geoffrey and Ethel Stone, and step-daughter to the late Saul Gordon; daughter-in-law to the late Bernard and Gertrude Wolper; sister-in-law to Larry Wolper (Maxine Wilchfort Wolper, Emily Wolper, Lisa Wolper), and eternal best friend to the late Toby Dachs (Mark Dachs, Brett/Brian Gaswirth, Casey/Evan Samek, Pamela and Jordan Armour).

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Nov. 27th @ 11:45am at the

Star of David Memorial Gardens

7701 Bailey Road

North Lauderdale, FL 33068

Shiva will immediately follow the funeral service, at the home of Jim Wolper.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
