NOVENSON, Louis passed away July 3, 2016 at 101 years old. Louis was a man of many interests. He enjoyed playing poker, canasta and pinochle; he was also an avid Yankees fan and liked watching many other sports, including football, basketball, golf, ice hockey, and even horse racing. Moving to Florida found Lou learning to play golf, joining a bowling league and becoming a shuffleboard champ. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Betty, he often thought he’d go shortly after her passing, but when he didn’t, he would say, “She’ll just have to wait for me a little longer." Louis was also preceded in death by two brothers; Samuel (Sam) Novenson and Morris (Moe) Shifnadel, two sisters; Gertrude (Gertie) Shifnadel and Jeanette Bushinsky, and by his granddaughter in-law Traci Wagner. When asked by his son in-law: “So, what do you think Lou?” he’d respond: “I don’t have to think anymore. I have people to do that for me!" Lou is survived by those loving people he depended on. His devoted daughter Adrienne Faber and her husband Frank Thomas, his cherished granddaughter Sheri Faber, grandson Richard Faber and partner Christine Otis, great grandson Jason Faber, and his brother Julius Shifnadel and his wife Emma. A man who witnessed much, loved many, and lived life to the fullest, until almost the very end, Louie will be missed by his beloved family, friends and trusted caregivers, Jennifer and Yana.
