

Milton Goveston Edwards was born in New York, NY on July 5, 1936. He graduated from Jamaica High School, and then attended Columbia University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree. During the early 1950's, Milton was a member of the Rivileers, a Rhythm & Blues vocal group famous for the recording of "A Thousand Stars" and "For Sentimental Reasons". The group also appeared at the Apollo Theatre.
During the 1960's and 70's, Milton was a store manager in the Chandler/Baker shoe chain, winning many "Manager of the Year" awards. He joined Citibank in 1975, and retired in 1998. He moved to Florida and was elected to the board of Directors of the Bermuda Club Management Council, serving as First Vice President. He was a member of the Entertainment Committee. He enjoyed planning the shows and other activities sponsored by the committee. His tireless efforts to improve the entertainment at the Bermuda Club finally paid off this year, and will be a testament to his vision.
He is survived by his two sons Milton and Keith: daughter-in-law Jo Ann; grandchildren Spring Cooke (husband Marcus Cooke), Tonya Edwards, Melissa Edwards; great-grandchildren Micah Cooke, Jonah Milton Cooke and a host of loving friends.
