Norma Baker, age 96 ½ passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2021, in Boynton Beach, Florida.
Norma Jane Rieser Baker was born in Louisville, Kentucky on November 16, 1924. After receiving her R.N. degree, she moved to Miami Beach, Florida in 1958 where she met her husband, Mel, and they had their daughter, Sherri. Norma was a registered nurse for over 50 years and an avid tennis player. Norma’s husband, Mel, preceded her death. She then moved to Houston, Texas and then to Lake Worth, Florida.
Norma is survived by her daughter, Sherri (Baker) Shulman and her husband, Ivan (Lake Worth, FL), her son, Larry (Skip) Baker and his wife Janet (Austin, Texas). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Lee Baker and his wife, Heather (Austin, TX), Kirby Shulman (New York, NY), Corey Shulman (Dallas, TX), her great grandchildren, Calvin and Ohlen Baker (Austin, TX),and her sister, Joyce Wolf (Louisville, KY). Her other siblings, Stanley, Jack, and Betty preceded her death. Norma is also survived by her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
