Paula Blake was a beloved great grandmother, grandmother, mother, and wife during her incredible 94 years of life. She passed away peacefully with family by her side on May 30th, 2024 in Boca Raton, FL.
Paula lived a long and happy life. She was born on February 10, 1930, in Bronx, NY, to two loving parents, Carl and Anna Abrams. She had four siblings, Charles, David, Cecelia, and Fran, whom she loved very much.
Paula met the love of her life, Robert Blake, while on the boardwalk in Bradley Beach, NJ. They were married in 1952 and spent their lives together raising their family and running a successful dental practice in Rockaway, NJ before relocating to Florida. Throughout their many years of marriage, they loved to travel the world together, making memories with family and friends until Robert’s passing in 2013.
We will remember Paula for her loving nature, her sense of style, and her occasional, endearing stubbornness. She loved to socialize with friends, shop for clothes and shoes, and relax with a good book, however her favorite moments in life were those spent with her children, grandchildren, and her many great grandchildren. She talked about them often and loved to show off pictures of the family she built. She was so proud of her family and was always surrounded by love.
Beloved mother of Lon (Eileen), Stuart (Marcia), and Lori (Jordy George); Grandmother to Michael (Jen), Erin, Matt (Tori), Brett (Erin), Craig (Gianna), Trevor (Rachel), Erika (Daniel), and Kaitlyn (Walter); Proud Great Grandmother to Ryan, Scott, Jackson, Mason, Beckett, Grady, Camden, Alaina, Blake, Sienna, Evan, and Gannon, with one more great grandchild on the way in August.
We will miss Paula dearly, but we are so grateful for the time we had to spend with her. We will always feel her presence in our hearts.
Services honoring her memory will take place Sunday, June 2, 2024 at 11:45AM at Star of David located at 7701 Bailey Road, N. Lauderdale, FL. Shiva will be held at the family residence in New Jersey on Tuesday, June 4th and Wednesday, June 5th. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Pap Corps (www.thepapcorps.org).
