Very sorry to find this info today for an old friend like Peter.  I have such fond memories of him back in the early '80s in Ocean Beach, California.  We used to hang out together.  He was always so well-spoken and gentle a soul.  He inspired me with his warmth and smooth-talking.  

My good memories of Peter will never die!

I am so sorry about Peter’s passing.
I received a last message from him on August 11.

He was always kind, optimistic. I received many photos  from his travels.

Peter was curious and interesting person, young at heart.

I will surely miss such friend.  May his Neshama have Alia.

Peter was a kind and caring soul who was a friend to me and my children for over 35 years.
I met him in Jerusalem and kept in contact with him for decades.
He would take me and the children to amusement parks.
He loved Israel and traveling often sending postcards to us along the way.
We would talk on the phone and exchange emails.
He was also a friend of my extended family and would come for barbecues and birthdays.
Peter will be greatly missed.






I an so saddened to find out of the passing of Peter! He was an extremely caring and kind person! He would always send a holiday wish and when I called he would always ask about our children and how they are! 
His love for children and care for the next generation was readily apprent! 
In almost every conversation i had with him he would always let me know how blessed I am to have my boys. 
He used to give me good advice regarding my health and that of my children! 
Peter was very generous and even gave my family presents for births. Just recently I had told him about a college program that I wanted to attend to help support my family and he gave me a very generous gift that I could put towards tuition.
I will really miss him! 
May his wonderful soul have peace!

Peter was a kind and calm person, we knew him for several years, after he moved to Florida. He sent us greetings for various holidays and events, and we shared many holiday celebrations with him. He loved to travel and watch programs about Israel, he loved to go see missiles being launched at the Kennedy Space Center. He was curious and friendly, a good soul.  We will miss Peter Singer and are happy to have known him!

Peter is my first cousin once removed.... or my second cousin.  I"m not sure! That's going to take a little calculating.  
We met in 1981 in Boulder Colorado the week I got home from the hospital with my son Adam.  I was a single mom with a brand new baby and a whole lot of "what do I do now?" going on, and there was Peter, on his big trip around the US honoring his pledge to our cousin Natalie Steinberg to find family members to help her build our Singer Family Tree.  That was the beginning of a life long relationship with my beloved cousin that included lots of visits and shared stories and highlights.  I always felt like I was a part of Peter's life, and he was definitely always a part of mine. 
Natalie had been our family historian since she was 9 years old and by the time Peter became involved she was probably in her 40s or 50s.  I eventually took over the family tree upkeep and helped create the booklet with the photos that was used in the family reunion in 2002.  By then I had stacks of emails and letters and photos of cousins all over the country.  All thanks to the efforts Peter made to go, literally, from door to door to bring our huge family together.
Mine is just one of many stories of Peter's love, generosity and friendship.  I'm so grateful to have been able to attend this service in his honor and will always honor his life.
