On the night of January 3rd, 2023, Reesa B. Schachter passed away peacefully in Deerfield Beach. Reesa was born in Piqua, Ohio, to Simon and Sara Brotkin. After graduating from The Ohio State University, she moved to South Florida, where she resided for the last fifty years. Reesa was a highly successful commodities broker and insurance agent. She was a loving and devoted mother, always putting her children’s and grandchildren’s needs in front of her own. Taking care of them was her biggest priority. She is survived by Max Schachter and his wife Caryn, and Gail Schwartz and her husband Scott, as well as five grandchildren, Samuel, Zachary, Ryan, Morgan, and Avery, as well as Alex, who preceded her in death. She is also survived by two sisters, Rona Goodman (Dr. Edward) and Linda Brotkin, and dear cousins, Stanley and Enid Rosenblatt, Warren Rosenblatt, Dr. Randall and Barbara Rosenblatt, and Terry Klitzner. She loved rollerblading on the beach and scuba diving. A beautiful and caring soul to the very end, Reesa will be missed by us all. Her service will be held on Sunday, January 8th, at 2:45 PM at Star of David, 7801 Bailey Road, N. Lauderdale, FL 33068.
