I worked for, around and with Bob for over 30 years.
I considered him a mentor not only in business but in life.
He taught me the "Art" of elevator cabs, and yes with Bob it was an art.
Most of all I learned how important family was.
There was no shame in bragging about his children from Richard trying to become a playwrite to Patrice singing on cruise ships to Wendy having her office in the Empire State Bldg.
And boy did he love Bunny, his life revolved around her.
Bob was never afraid of or nervous to walk in to the office of a Peter Kalikow or Harry Helmsley or Donald Trump or a  Peter Malkin, he was confident and self assured. When it came to Bunny all of that went out the window.
I was on a crowded plane with my son a few weeks ago and we were waitng to exit the plane, I told him a story about Bob and how much he cared about his wife.
I have been in business situations with Bob where most people would have cracked, Bob as usual always came through with his ever confident self but I have never seen Bob so worried or intent as when I watched him get himself and Bunny prepared to exit the plane. It was like his sole purpose in life at that point was to make sure Bunny was the first one off. He cared more than anything.
My son said you should call him.
I wish I did. 
He was a truly competitive in sports. Even though he was 30 years my senior he would not let that get in the way when we were playing racquetball at Kings Court, skiing at Bellayre or golfing in Florida. And yes maybe sometimes when I said I let him beat me because he was my boss may not have been true.
We always had a good laugh about how the country house came about.
Friday Morning: "Tim I am going to look at a place upstate and I don't know why. There is so much going on and what would I do up there. I would never buy a place up there." 
Fast forward.
Monday Morning: "Tim I just bought a house upstate."
As time went on he often said it was the best thing he ever did. He would talk about pulling the convertible out of the barn and cruising through the countryside with Bunny (I think we were all happy when he gave up the motorcycle) or about his new dock and going out on the boat. I never saw him smile so much. He was content.
When he told me Patrice bought a place next to him it seemed like life was complete.
Bob was a special man and he will be missed.
Just wanted to share some thoughts.

I worked for Bob at Parkline from 1974 till 1989
We rode motorcycles together.
I remember some good times.
