She was born on December 2, 1919 in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of Harry and Anna Scheckter. She married the late Leon Findling on Dec. 17, 1944 and they lived most of their lives in the Bronx, NY. They enjoyed traveling. Ruth was a homemaker who raised her children to be tolerant and appreciative and to help those less fortunate.
She is survived by a small but loving family: her daughter, Carol Fenichel and son-in-law Ken; grandchildren Justin Fenichel and Nicole Fenichel-Hewitt & her husband Chris; and great grandchildren: Elias, Cora, Miles and Luke; as well as many nieces and nephews. To know her was to love her and she will be sadly missed by all her friends and family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Leon, son Edward (Eddie), brother Samuel Scheckter and sister, Helen Steckler.
Ruth was known for her beautiful smile, tolerance and understanding. Those who knew her will forever have her gift of love.
