

Ruth Rita Ruthauser of Wesley Chapel, Florida and formerly of Coconut Creek, Florida, passed away Monday, November 15, 2021, at the age of 95. After waging a valiant battle against a variety of health issues, she died peacefully.
Ruth was born in New York, New York to father, Harry Gitnick and mother, Julia Gitnick. Older sister to Caroljane, she was a child of The Bronx, New York, having attended Evander Childs High School and earning a Bachelor’s Degree from Hunter College in Manhattan. During her long career as an esteemed Spanish teacher at Memorial Junior High School in Fair Lawn, NJ, she would earn her Master’s Degree from William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey.
Ruth was an avid Scrabble player, loved crossword puzzles and Broadway musicals, was an active member of ORT and, in her younger years, was an accomplished bowling partner to her now deceased and beloved husband, Bert. After moving to Florida in the early ‘80s, she continued her career in education as a substitute teacher in the Coral Springs School District. Most of all, she loved and cherished her family.
Ruth is survived by her son, George Ruthauser (Amie Ruthauser), daughter, Jane Goldberg (Arthur Goldberg) and grandchildren, Adam Goldberg (Mary Goldberg) and Jill Ruthauser.
