Sheila Santy, beloved mother, daughter, sister and aunt, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2025, at the age of 83. Born in Brooklyn, New York, to Irving and Dina Nussbaum, Sheila was known for her warmth and unwavering love for her family.
She was predeceased by her devoted husband Romeo, to whom she was married for over 35 years; her parents; and her sister, Myra(Richard) Adamski. Sheila is survived by her two daughters, Wendy Silver(Eric Gillary) and Bonnie Silver as well as her niece Debra (David) Lustberg and nephew Michael Adamski.
Sheila showed unwavering strength and rarely complained as she battled pain and various health issues. Her presence brought light and love to all who knew her. Sheila will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
In honor of Sheila and her sister Myra, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her name to SupportConnection.org, a not-for-profit organization founded by Myra's husband, Richard Adamski. Support Connection provides emotional, social, and educational support to women, their families, and friends affected by breast, ovarian, and gynecological cancer.
A chapel service will be held at the Star of David Memorial Chapel, located at 7701 Bailey Road, North Lauderdale, FL 33068, on June 30, 2025, from 11:45 am to 12:15 pm.
Following the service, interment will take place at the Judea J South Mausoleum 5-1927 in the Star of David Memorial Gardens, located at 7701 Bailey Rd, North Lauderdale, Florida 33608, from 12:15 pm to 12:45 pm. Sheila's final resting place will be in the Judea J Mausoleum South, Lot 5, Space 1927, at the Star of David Memorial Gardens Cemetery & Funeral Chapel.
