He was born on October 19, 1951, to Mildred and Irving Pernick in New York, NY.
After serving in the National Guard, Shelley began a 42 year career with Consolidated Edison, from which he retired in 2015.
He married Marilyn on April 7, 1979 and they had 1 child, Andrew.
He loved golfing with friends, going to concerts, playing the ponies, a good single malt scotch, and was a lifelong Yankees, Rangers and Jets fan.
Shelley is survived by his wife Marilyn, son Andrew (Amy), grandson Matthew, sister Laurie Dier (Gary), brother Heshie (Hollis), along with many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and an army of friends too numerous to list.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Irving and Mildred Pernick.
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM November 7, 2023 at Star of David Memorial Gardens in North Lauderdale, FL. Rabbi Jonathan Kaplan will officiate with internment immediately following.
