On behalf of the JAFCO family we are so deeply saddened by the devastating loss of Shari who was a beautiful unique soul who began sharing her love for philanthropy with her children from the earliest part of their childhood. Our beautiful Ilana’s piano recitals attracted a standing-room-only sized crowd with adorable Aiden sitting by her side waiting for his solo. The annual recitals raised life-saving funding for children who had endured abuse and neglect, something beyond Ilana and Aidens’s comprehension, given the incredible parents and family and friends they have had. What Shari was teaching her children at such a young age was not only the secret to happiness, but also the meaning of life - for we are all happiest when we are helping to ease the suffering of another living being and our purpose in this world is to leave it a better place than we found it. Shari did just that and her legacy will live on at JAFCO. Thank you to all of you who have made or plan to make donations in her honor - 100% will go directly to the children of JAFCO and keep her memory alive. Our sincere condolences to Chip, Aiden, Ilana, Linda and the entire Hutzler and Stewart families from your JAFCO family.

Sheri, you had the BEST laugh ever, all the way from 6th grade onward.  I am so sorry to hear about your deep loss Chip, Ilana and Aidan. Rest in Peace Sheri. Sushi it is tonight.

I send my deepest condolences to the Huztler and Stewart families. I was shocked and saddened to hear this news! Our families were friends since the early Pine Crest days. I had the good fortune to reconnect in more recent years with Sheri and we got to spend a little time together. I will cherish that always. Sheri was always kind and easy to be around. I remember that when my mom and Linda would get together through the years, and especially when Sheri and I were teenagers, they would often remark that they were so lucky to have great children. I have known Sheri my whole life. Despite the fact that we probably have not seen each other in over 30 years I have great memories of being in Florida and spending lots of time with the Stewart family. I especially remember all the New Year’s Day watching the Wolverines. I still remember Sheri coming to Michigan for my sweet 16. She will be dearly missed by everyone my love to the family.

Dear Chip, Ilana and Aidan,

My deepest condolences 🙏🏼 Sheri was a beautiful, kind-hearted, and warm friend. She and I shared so many special milestones with our children together, and she always had a way of capturing the joy of those moments through her beautiful pictures. Her smile, kindness, and loving spirit touched so many people, and I feel grateful to have known her. She created memories that will forever be cherished. I will miss her dearly and will always hold her close in my heart.

Sheri touched everyone s life in a special way. As a second cousin, and not living near by, I only met Sheri a few short times.
 She was vibrant , kind, smart., beautiful and was wonderful to all who spent any time with her. I experienced that, at my neice Ruby s wedding.
