Shirley A. Goldstein, 92, of Tamarac, Florida passed away on March 11, 2021. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, she lived in Newark and Fords, NJ before moving to Florida in 1990. After marrying and raising three children, she worked for Johnson and Johnson in New Brunswick, NJ for twenty years.
Upon retirement to Florida, she became actively involved in the King’s Point Drama Club and performed in every show for twenty-five years. Shirley loved singing, acting, and had an innate sense of humor.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Herbert Goldstein of sixty years; her daughter Debra Downs; and her brother Martin Newman. She is survived by her daughters, Andrea Katz, Sandi Sobel and her husband, Cliff Sobel; son-in-law, Robert Downs; and her cherished grandchildren, Matthew [Sara], Joseph [Skye], Steven [Carla], Laurie, Ben; and great-grandchildren Madisyn, Natalie, and Hannah. She will be greatly missed by those whose lives she touched.
Funeral services will be held at the Star of David Memorial Gardens Cemetery for the immediate family.
