With true & total heartfelt sympathy I write this post. I've been looking for Susan for the past 41 yrs. NEVER did I Ever want to find out this way . Its like she knew when she got to heaven that I have been searching for her Forever. This is why I found out in the strangest way !
Susan and I were Best Friends throughout JHS & H.S @ Henely Prep in Jamaica Estates, NY. I knew her parents Nan & Howard and also her siblings Ronnie & Harvey very well. I spent many weekends & summers with The Govern's. In fact she was one of my bridesmaids when I got married in 1972 and that was the last I saw her, but never, never forget her and the dear friendship we had shared.
Last night another dear friend from Henely(who also was a bridesmaid)called me immediately, Knowing how long I have been searching for Susan . Strangely enough she was in Florida visiting her parents and randomly came across the article in the obituary.Needless to say, was in shock & deeply sadden!
I never gave up looking for Susan Ann Govern!!! Since the days of the internet I've been goggling ,, Facebook etc. for her. Never did I know she was now Susan Ann Baker living in Florida with three sons and a soon to be grandma.Oh how I wish we could have connected...
RIP my DEAR Friend... You were Always in my Heart & Forever will be!
My prayers go out to her entire family and may God be with you ALL during this difficult time.
If Ronnie or Harvey see this post and want to get in touch with me PLEASE email me at
I Love You Suzy...Until We Meet Again
