

Barbara Lynn Barbee, 73, of Little Rock, a beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully May 15, 2025. Known for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family, Barbara’s life was a testament to love, faith, and perseverance.
Born August 29, 1951 in Little Rock to the late Ben Henry and Maudie Mae (Lancaster) Jones, Barbara pursued her education with determination, earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She also attended an electronic school, showcasing her lifelong passion for learning and personal growth.
Barbara embraced her role as a homemaker with grace, creating a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished traditions. Her nurturing spirit and gentle wisdom touched all who knew her. She was a steadfast partner to her husband, G.W., and their bond stood as a shining example of commitment and love.
Barbara will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she graced. Her legacy of compassion, strength, and generosity will lived on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
She is survived by her husband, G.W. Barbee; children, Gerard Barbee, Keyasha (Carlos) Barbee-Gordon, Andre Jones, Jamal (Ashley) Umer, Stephanie Johnson, Melinda (Henry) Laryea, Keandre Jones, and Andrea Jones; siblings, Martha Dunn, Jo Marshal, Maxin (Thomas) North, Melvin (Bernita) Jones, and Queen Lewis; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, Barbara was welcomed into Heaven by her daughter, Felica Beavers; and siblings, Ivora Lewis, and Ben, Walter, Paul, and David Jones.
