Barbara devoted 36 years of steady service to Southwestern Bell—later AT&T—working from 1962 to 1998. Through the years, she carried herself with a gentle, kind-hearted spirit that put others at ease, and she was known for a quiet humor that could brighten even ordinary moments.
An adventurous soul at heart, Barbara found joy in traveling and in the outdoors, especially camping. She also loved gardening, tending to the simple beauty of growing things with patient care—an everyday reflection of the warmth and tenderness she brought to those around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Rex Donald Hurst of El Dorado, AR; and one sister, Pat Jean Hurst Honeycutt of Spring, TX.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory two brothers, David Ronald "Buddy" Hurst of Branson, MO, and Richard Lynn Hurst of League City, TX; two very close friends, Tammy R. Rogers and Mary A. Holley of Sherwood, Kimberly A. Brown from Van Buren, AR ; and several nephews, nieces, and cousins.
