She was born in Conway, Arkansas, on October 26, 1946, and was the daughter of James Ferol and Troy Lea Fulmer. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and Granny. She worked for the NLRSD for 32 years as an intervention teacher. She enjoyed working with children, and was involved in teaching Sunday School at Levy Baptist Church with her husband for many years.
She was greeted in heaven by her parents; sisters, Kathryn Roth and Joy Jackson; brother Charles Fulmer; son, Charles Edward Martin; and four great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ed Martin; daughters Shelli Perry (Mark), and Julie Sartain (Dave); along with grandchildren, Stefani Ford (Max), Ben Perry, Hannah Hurley (Eric), Amber Tedford (Darren), Faith Alexander, Laura Compton (Travis), Caleb Hoskins; and great-grand children Madeline & Marlee Tedford, and Clara Grace Hurley.
Betty enjoyed traveling with her sisters, and they went many places together. Her favorite trip was to New York City! She loved Betty Boop and Cardinals Baseball. She enjoyed playing games with friends and family; including Spinners, Wahoo, Mexican Train, and Bunko. She enjoyed it even more when she won.
Granny never missed an event to support her grandchildren. She loved them fiercely, and her grandchildren remember many special occasions including sleepovers, teaching all of them how to drive in the church parking lot, and our infamous Christmas Baking Party. Her joy doubled when she became a great-grandmother.
Her memory will be cherished by all who have known and loved her.
Betty will be laid to rest in Rest Hills Memorial Park, 7724 Landers Rd, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72117.
