When I opened an office in NLR Police Dept. in 1971, I had no idea what to do until I met Sgt. Bill McCord and Clark Thorne. They taught me everything I needed to know and we became friends for a lifetime .

Mr. Bill Was A Wonderful Man.......He Would Drive Down To The England Revenue Office To See Us; He Even Serenaded Us With A
Beautiful Song. He Will Be Dearly Missed By Not Only His Family
But Everyone That Came In Contact With Him. He Always Left You
Smiling And Thinking: "What A Gentleman" Prayers From His Friends Whose Heart He Forever Touched....

I considered myself honored to have known such a great man. As a young police man I found early on that Capt. McCord was very easy to talk to and he was always there to help other officers, especially the young ones. Not enough can be said about all the lives he touched. He will always be cherished by everyone who knew him. My thanks to his family who shared him with all of us.

What a great person to know!! I first met Mr. Bill at the old White Pig Inn. The one time meeting resulted in years of friendship. We had several great meals together. He would even come to the England Revenue Office, where I worked, to do his car business. One day he came in and sang to us. He had written a song for my co-worker Patricia & me. He was always so upbeat & brightened everyone's day. I'm very sorry for your loss. But I am better off just because I knew him. God Bless. Diane Rice, formerly at the England Revenue Office
