Bobbie L. Joyner Lovell, age 87, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2020 and rejoined her beloved husband Jim. She was born on March 3, 1933 in Woodruff County, Arkansas, to parents Edward Lee Joyner and Oswald (Ossie) Bull Joyner. Bobbie was a lifelong member of the Baptist faith.
Bobbie was married to James Lovell for 52 years, until his recent death on May 29, 2020.
Bobbie was a warm and friendly person who never met a stranger, becoming instant friends with everyone she met. She love celebrating her favorite time of the year – Christmas! She had the Christmas tree up and decorated before Halloween and did not put it away until after New Year’s Day. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to just sit and talk with them whenever she could. A wonderful mother, she was always there for her kids and loved to cook for them and later in life, loved to eat and enjoy her son’s cooking.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Bill Joyner. Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Merida Jones;daughter and son-in-law, Vicki Haslip and Rick Haslip; her sons, Kyle, Mark and Chris Lovell; grandchildren; Mary Houser, Josh Lovell and his wife, Kanitra, Amber Vanderlught and her husband, Mark, and Julia Lovell along with her eleven great grandchildren.
Due to the current restrictions with COVID-19, a private family memorial will be held at a later date.
