Bob is survived by his wife of 56 years Sarah Mosley, daughter Michele Beasley (Mike), son Michael Mosley (Lamarie Rutelonis), five grandchildren Caroline Mosley, Presley Beasley, Eli Beasley, Ethan Beasley, Connor Rutelonis, his brother Elbert Mosley (91), sister-in-law Dorothy Sanders, sister-in-law Sue Johnson, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his sister Gwynneth and brother-in-law Bryant Green, brother-in-law Carl Sanders, brother-in-law Woody Johnson, sister-in-law Pat Mosley, nieces Renee Smith, Karen Carr, Jinanne Sundstrom, and nephew Dick Jeffery.
Bob met Sarah in Atlanta, Georgia when he was working for Georgia Tech after completing his tour of duty at NAS Atlanta in the construction battalion (Seabees). He and Sarah married in 1968 and moved to Walls, Mississippi where he worked for Dover Elevator before settling in Sherwood, Arkansas. After a career that included serving as a draftsman for Franklin Electric in Jacksonville, Arkansas beginning in the early 1970s, he retired from Siemens in 2001 to begin his favorite career as full-time Poppy to his precious granddaughter Caroline. Bob and his granddaughter were thick as thieves.
Bob was a lifelong Crimson Tide fan for his Alma mater and became a devoted Razorback fan as well after moving to Arkansas. Needless to say, when the two teams played he needed a special game shirt with only UA printed. He was honest, and hardworking, and raised a tight-knit family with Sarah. Bob had a great sense of humor and was always ready and willing to help friends and family when needed. Bob and Sarah coached their kids’ sports, took regular vacations with their family to Lake Ouachita each summer, and took yearly trips each fall hunting with their family in Grant County, Arkansas.
He is and will be greatly missed by those who knew him. He truly showed us all what love and family meant, and that those aspects of life are what matter above all.
A special thank you to Sharon for being so caring and compassionate.
