He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Bernice, their two children Deborah (Debbie) Krause and Desiree Fisher (Kevin), four grandchildren, Nathan Joiner, Aaron Joiner, Megan Freeman (Shawn) and Sarah Rockwell (Justin) who will forever remember him as PaPa, seven great grandchildren, and many other family members and a host of friends.
Burl joined the Navy when he was 16 years of age and served during World War II. He was a lifelong member of the Sylvan Hills Church of Christ.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 4, from 4:00-6:00 pm at Griffin, Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Rd, North Little Rock, AR.
A celebration of his life will be held at the Sylvan Hills Church of Christ, 117 W Maryland Avenue, Sherwood, AR on February 5 at 1:00 pm.
