Carol Jane Pittman

Carol was born in Springfield, Missouri, to the late Arthur Lowell and Kathleen (Kelley) Smallwood. She graduated from Central High School in Springfield and was married to her one love, Loyd L. Pittman, on October 2nd, 1955. Together, they built a life centered on family, faith, and service.

A devoted homemaker and mother, Carol was also a faithful partner to Loyd throughout their life together. She was a long-time, dedicated member of Gardner Memorial United Methodist Church, where she found great joy in worship and fellowship. Carol was also an avid quilter, taking great pride in each piece that she created.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Loyd; and her brother, Michael Smallwood.

She is survived by her sister, Kay Smallwood; her five children: James Pittman (Trinh), Kelley Pittman (Susan), Niki Kamarunas (Joe), Sarah Kahl (Greg), and Timothy Pittman (Dana); ten grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward her love of family.

Memorials in Carol’s honor may be made to Gardner Memorial United Methodist Church.

A visitation for Carol will be held Friday, September 5, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Gardner Memorial United Methodist, 1723 Schaer St, North Little Rock, AR 72114, followed by a funeral from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM.
