Delbert D. Scott, 88, of Sherwood, died Saturday, October 27, 2018. He was born in Cabot, Arkansas on January 25, 1930, to the late John Scott and Carrie Pippin Scott. Delbert was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Kenneth Scott: and sister Wilma Smith.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Sherwood. He retired from 3 M company and Sherwood Volunteer Fire Department. He loved helping people through the Arkansas Baptist Disaster Relief and mission trips.
He is survived by his wife, Darriel Holden Scott, by his children Michael Scott and Cheryl Wills, grandchildren, Cynthia Shuffield, Marti Wills, Bruce Wills (Kate), great-grandchildren, Billy Shuffield, Katelyn Shuffield, and Haley Shuffield: sisters, Norma Thompson (Thom) and Brenda Shermantine (John) and brother Elzie Scott.
The family would like to express thanks to the St. Vincent’s Hospitals and Hospice Home Care for the loving care they provided.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 30, at 10 am with the funeral service following at 11 am at First Baptist Church of Sherwood, Arkansas. Burial to follow at Sumner Cemetery in North Pulaski County.
