

Don K. Martin, age 81, of North Little Rock, AR, passed away on September 26, 2016, after a battle with cancer. Don graduated from Cabot High School and University of Arkansas with BA and MBA degrees. Don and JoAnn Freeman met at U of A and married in 1959. They began their professional careers in North Little Rock. Don in Kroger Management and JoAnn a teacher with the NLR public schools. Over the years Don continued his Informational Systems profession with McDonald Douglas Aircraft, State of Arkansas, St. Vincent Infirmary and Conway Regional Medical Center. The hallmark of Don’s personal life has been his devotion to His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He manifested this by service to his family, church, friends, Bible Study Fellowship, and Gideon’s International. Don is survived by his wife of 57 years, as well as two sons, Lance (Denise) and Barry (Ingrid), five delightful grandchildren, Eric (Allie), Sophia, Isabella, Frank and Granger. A Celebration of Life is planned for Friday, September 30, 2016, at Park Hill Baptist Church NLR. The family will welcome guests for visitation in Heard Fellowship Hall at 10:00 a.m. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 a.m.in the Worship Center. Don may have lost his battle with cancer but he gained eternal blessings as he enjoyed the love and amazing support from his family, friends, church, Baptist Health Systems, and Hospice Home Care Inpatient Center on his end of life journey. Memorials may be made to Park Hill Baptist Church, Gideon’s International, or Hospice Home Care Inpatient Center on Bowman Road, LR, AR.
