I worked with Berkeley several years at Affiliated Foods and found Berkeley to be one of the most likeable and honest people I have known. He will be missed.

Funny
we talk now
more than we did before.
I treasured the call's
twice a week
I just never thought
my best memories
would be the ones that I lost
and can't remember.
all that I would have from December
is a picture to view.
But I have a picture.

I have always trusted you before, so why is today so different.
You stood so tall,
so strong,
you play with Jesse on the floor. You were so encouraging for KC, who walked away with confidence I never saw before.

I smile
hearing Burke
in the kitchen,
The shake of the paper in his chair.
The smell of fresh cut grass. and the grill
started in the backyard.
Knowing you're gone is so hard.

I know you are watching
your grand children,
from high in the bleachers.
Your pride and your joy.
But there are legos not built
and Chess moves not made.

..... you may have set yourself free but did you think of me....
You carried a load too heavy to make it to the house
but I have faith you made it home.

I was the Receptionist for Affiliated Foods and Berkeley passed my desk numerous times a day...always with a sweet smile and usually something funny to say! He was a pleasure to be around and certainly one of the good guys!! He will be missed by the grocery business and all his legions of friends!!

Berkeley was always kind to me and greeted me with smile and handshake. He was very fair to deal with and was always a man of his word. After Berkeley retired and joined our Acosta Store Set team for some part time work, he would stop by my office and visit. He would fill me in on what was going on and we would talk about old times. Berkeley was a key component of the Aff Southwest Purchasing Team and was respected by their retailer members . The Razorbacks have lost one of its greatest fans. RIP Berkeley, you will not be forgotten.

Berkeley Copeland was the kindest most sincere man I’ve ever had the privilege to work with and to call my friend. Everyone that ever met him,
