From Colorado: I always think of the words welcoming, generous, kind and patient when I think of Uncle Elvis. What fun times we had at his house when we visited him and Aunt Pauline and cousins and second cousins! The house would be filled with lots of loud and rambunctious kids but he always took it in stride. If all the noise and activity bothered him I never knew it. I just remember a smile and calm in the midst of the storm.

I am so sorry to hear that he has now left this side of eternity. It is a loss to the family. It is a loss for everyone. Our country and the world would be so much better with more such men of character and decency and care.

I am so blessed to have been a little part of his family. Praying grace and strength to all family and friends.

Elvis was my brother-in-law for over 25 years when I was married to Imogene, (his first wife's sister). I will always remember how we were always welcome in his house to stay all night or all week when we were on leave from the Navy.
My son (Rodney) and I would like to send our condolences to the family.
We are so sorry we will not be able to attend the funeral. He was always so faithful to attend all
our famiy funerals.

Uncle Elvis gave me a place to stay in his home when I had nowhere else to go. I will never forget his generosity, his kind and gentle nature. I'm so thankful he's my Uncle. I will love you and miss you always. Mary Ellen (Cullum) Duranth Langlais, Ed Langlais, and your two Nephews and three Neices.
