Ervin C. “Butch” Brendel, Jr. age 51, of North Little Rock, passed away April 22, 2020.
He was born July 24, 1968.
Ervin graduated from Carroll High School in Ft. Wayne, IN in 1987. He served in the United States Air Force for 4 years as an electrician and earned 5 honors. He graduated from UCA with a Master of Physical Therapy and then worked 20 years at the LR VA hospital. He enjoyed working with veterans and teaching tai chi. He was an avid hunter, artist, builder, fisherman, gardener, traveler, and runner. Most of all he loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Ervin leaves behind the love of his life, his daughter Cally D. Brendel. Also, parents, Ervin C. Brendel Sr., Hazel Gunderman (Thomas); sisters, Anita Campbell (Ric), Monica McCaghren (Travis), Karen Miller; and a host of nieces and nephews. He also helped raise Casey Harden and Courtney Goudy. Due to social distancing the service will be family only. He will be laid to rest on Thursday, April 30th at Griffin Leggett - Rest Hills in North Little Rock.
