Frederick Maurice Jefferson

Frederick Maurice Jefferson was born on July 20th, 1964, to the late Robert (Buddy) Moore and the late Emma Lee Moore of Marianna, AR. He established a strong foundation of faith, family values, and community connection that he carried with him throughout his entire life before relocating to Little Rock, AR and later to Sherwood, AR.

He was united in matrimony with Janice Jefferson in 2005, together they became a blended family with four children! He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

Frederick was a dedicated employee who rarely missed a day of work. Rain, sleet, or snow, he was there! He started his career journey at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR), University of Arkansas Medical Science (UAMS) hospital, and Childrens hospital, afterwards where he served much of his career in the following locations, Springhill Baptist Medical Center, and St. Vincent Medical Center (North). Frederick's culinary gift was enjoyed by many, at work and during family gatherings.

He departed this life on June 18th, 2026, at St. Vincent Medical Center (North). He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert (Buddy) Moore, and Emma Lee Moore, his sister; Gloria Stean Bass, his brothers; Lucian Lee Jefferson, and Eugene Jefferson.

He leaves to cherish his memory is his wife, Janice Jefferson. His children; (1) son Frederick Jefferson Jr. (3) stepchildren; Jamal Robinson, Michael Robinson, and Dominque Milton. (4) sisters; Lucille Patton, Belinda Jefferson, Chandra Farris, Alice Allen (1) brother; Billy Jerome Jefferson (Stephanie) (5) his neice and nephews were raised alongside him as siblings; Theresa Bass Pearson, Jerry Monroe Bass (Donna), Norvell Lester Bass (Rosetta), Victor LaMar Bass, and Jack Martell Bass. He was also a father figure to many including Keith, Stephen, and Stephanie. (1) oldest living Aunt of Gary Indiana, Belinda Ann Hardiman. Five cherished grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

Visitation will be held at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, AR 72117, US, on June 26, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will be held at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, AR 72117, US, on June 27, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

A Graveside Service will be held at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, AR 72117, US, on June 27, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
