Harvey Penn

Harvey Ralph Penn, age 84, passed from this life on October 13th, 2023. Harvey was born on August 22, 1939, to Martha Bell Penn and Pless G. Penn who resided in the Holly Springs community near Steprock, Arkansas.

Harvey graduated from Central High School in Judsonia in 1957.

Harvey had one sister, Lilliam Penn Siler, and on brother, Carl Penn, both which are deceased.

Harvey is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nelda Pearson Penn and by two sons, Paul David Penn of Sherwood and Brian Kelly Penn of Jacksonville.

He was preceded in death by his daughter in law Michelle Lee Dunlap Penn. He has six grandchildren: Jonathon Lewis Penn, Joy Nicole Penn Petz, Christopher Penn and Daniel Penn the children of Paula Gail Penn and David Penn and Steven Nicklaus Penn and Emma Annae Penn, the children of Michelle and Kelly Penn. And one great granddaughter, Sadie Anne Penn. Two nieces, Linda Pratt and Carla Barnett and one nephew, Ed Penn. And one brother-in-law, J.D. Siler.

Harvey was a long-time resident of the Olmstead Community in North Pulaski County. He was in the automobile business for fifty plus years. He was a deacon and teacher at the Victory Baptist Church in Sherwood for many years and later had the blessing of being a member at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Cabot, Arkansas for several years.

The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice and Superior Health and Rehab Center for their wonderful care of Harvey during his battle with lung cancer.
