Mrs. Helen Freeman, Age 78 of Sherwood, AR, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2026. Her memorial service will be 10am on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Life Tabernacle, conducted by Pastor Clyde Phillips of Life Tabernacle.
Helen Marie Freeman was born on April 13, 1948 in Dos Palos, CA to the late Omer Curtis Smith and the late Laura Helen Smith. She married Dean Freeman on September 21, 1968. Helen is survived by her husband, Dean Freeman of Sherwood, AR; her daughter, April (Nate) Roberts of Cabot, AR; grandchildren Gabrielle Roberts of Cabot, AR and Gretchen Roberts of Cabot, AR; sisters Janet Anton of Cabot, AR; Dorothy Miller of Stockton, CA; Curtis (Judy) Smith of Merced, CA.
Besides her parents, Helen is preceded in death by her sister Connie Hood, who passed away April 4, 2026.
Helen has been a life long follower of Christ and known to many as the “Cookie Lady”. She spread love, kindness and friendship to all around her with her homemade cookies. She took joy in serving the body of Christ where ever she could.
