In her younger years, Nena enjoyed gardening and spending time outdoors. She had a love for the simple pleasures in life and, as the years went by, could often be found enjoying a game of Yahtzee or spending time at a local casino. Her warm spirit and unique personality will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Gertrude Mathiebe; her husband, D.C. Vest; and her brother, Guenter Mathiebe.
She is survived by Rose (Allen)Sykes, Gale McVicker, and Gary (Donna) Collier, grandchild, Misty (Darrell) Cook; two great grandchildren, Jadyn Cook, Jacob Lynch, one cousin, Moni Loske, along with other family members and friends who will cherish her memory.
Nena leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
Services will be held September 18, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, AR 72117. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., a Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 a.m. followed by a Committal at 12:00p.m.
