James “Buddy” Edward Eades, 79, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2021 surrounded by his family. James was born in Austin, AR on February 9, 1941 to Jesse and Ruby Eades, and was the second of 7 children. He graduated from Magnolia High School, served for 21 years in the United States Air Force, and worked for the Arkansas Department of Education. During his service in the Air Force, he met and married the love of his life, Kathryn Sue Eades (Kathy), with whom he celebrated 54 years of marriage and had one daughter, Amy Kathryn Eades Parsons.
James was preceded in death by his parents Jesse and Ruby Eades, his older brother Laurence, and his younger brother John Aud.
He is survived by his wife Kathryn (Kathy) of North Little Rock, AR, and his daughter Amy and son-in-law William Parsons of North Little Rock, AR. He is also survived by his brothers David Eades of Houston, TX; and Mark Eades and wife Donna of Magnolia, AR; his two sisters Nina Gomez of Sacramento, CA and Aletta Hollingsworth and husband Carl of Benton, AR; and sister-in-law Jackie Eades (wife of John Aud), along with many nieces and nephews.
A small graveside service is set for the family on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at the Arkansas Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you consider donating to either St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the Arkansas Children’s Hospital in his memory.
