James Hooker Lewis, age 50, entered into his rest March 18, 2019. He was born May 27, 1968 in Searcy, AR to Harry Lewis and Fannie Cannon Lewis. He graduated from Searcy High School Class of 1987. After high school James joined the US Army where he served in Operation Desert Storm. He was proud to serve his country and protect our freedom.
James is survived by his adopted dad, Stanley Hooker (NLR), 2 sisters, Geraldine Hooker Lewis (NLR, AR) and Stacy Horton Bell (Edmond, OK), 4 nieces, Charity Middleton (Cody) of Muldrow, OK, Hannah Cox (Jonathan) of OKC, OK, Andrea Fouts (Braden) of Muldrow, OK, and Mikayla Money of OKC, OK. He had 4 great-nieces and one great nephew, all of OK. He was preceded in death by his biological father, Harry, and mother, Fannie, and by his adopted mom, Gayle Hooker.
James loved the Lord and his family above all in this life. He was a talented artist, loving son, brother, uncle, and friend.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 23, at 1:00 p.m. and Memorial service at 2:00 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills in North Little Rock.
