James Lamont Schmidt of Jacksonville, went to be with the lord June 1, 2021 after years of serving him through his full time ministry work. He is proceeded in death by his two sons. Survived by his wife Susan, six children, ten grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 7724 Landers Rd. NLR, Ar. 72117 on June 19, 2021 at 2pm.
On May 6, 1945 in Freeport, IL. James Lamont Schmidt was to born to Lyle and Ethel Schmidt. At the age of 17, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served his country for 20 years. Five of which he was a military instructor and the remaining fifteen he spent as a production control technician. After James’ career with the Military ended, his love for education continued alongside his love for the Lord. He would go on to dedicate his remaining years to spreading the word of God through his full time ministry work. From visiting numerous churches and nursing homes playing his guitar and singing praise to God, to his work as a Chaplin at his local jail, and his work through his ministry at CAYA in Guy, Arkansas; without ceasing James spread the word of God and obediently served him until his very last breath.
