James Kent Worrell, age 73, of Sherwood, Arkansas, was called home by the Lord on September 1, 2026.
James was a loving husband to his wife, Mildred, a devoted father, cherished brother, and beloved uncle. By trade, James was a meat cutter, a profession he took pride in throughout his working years.
James loved his family dearly and found some of his greatest joy in spending time with those he loved. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors, and was an estate sale connoisseur. He appreciated the simple pleasures in life and making memories along the way. He will be remembered for his love of family and the many memories he leaves behind.
James is survived by his loving wife, Mildred; his children, Shawn Shadwick and wife Jennifer, Kevin Shadwick, Amanda Schmidt and husband Dan, and Rachel Furrows and husband Kenyon; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Nikki Lynn. He also leaves behind many beloved nieces, extended family members, and friends who will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Katherine; his parents, Robert and Janie Worrell; and his beloved grandson, Zachary Shadwick.
The family would like to extend a special and heartfelt thank you to niece Jody Eaton and her husband, Todd, for being on this journey with our family.
The family also extends their deepest gratitude to Arkansas Hospice for the exceptional care, compassion, and support provided to James and his loved ones.
