Jean Carol Simmons, age 80, of Mayflower, Arkansas passed away in her home Tuesday evening, November 11th, 2025. She was born August 14th, 1945, in Tampa, Florida, to Homer Hubert Turner Jr. and Thelmas Mae Rushton. She worked in accounting for BC/BS of Arkansas for 23 years before retiring. She was a long-time member of Mayflower New Beginnings Church.
She is survived by her husband, Joe T. Simmons of Mayflower; her children, Angie Ford, Shana Revels, Timothy Simmons, and Tracy Downey; her grandchildren, Jayden Wilcox-Revels, Michael Simmons and TJ Downey.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Turner.
She was a loving mother and grandmother, who devoted her life to caring for her family and animals. In her spare time, she loved gardening, fishing, and bowling. She was a passionate lover of all animals, especially her many dogs and cats, who will miss her dearly.
Viewing will be Tuesday November 18th, 2025 from 1:00 to 1:30PM in the chapel, followed by a Graveside Service at 2:00 pm at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home in NLR.
