“How many cats do you have today?” This was a question you could have asked mom over the last few years and there was always a different answer depending on the time of day. Her heart was unlimited and kindness boundless, she loved to take in strays whether it be people, cats, or dogs. If Mom took you in, you stayed.
Jeanette spent her life raising her 4 children in St. Louis while working closely with her community in a nursing facility. She always found time to sit down and enjoy the finer things in life like puzzles and crafts, often creating things for others before herself and gifting them. She got to travel in her time, seeing parts of the US and Europe, and tried to enjoy nature to its fullest. She loved camping, exploring lakes, bird and butterfly watching, and growing things in her garden. Her favorites were hummingbirds and monarchs, often planting her flowers to feed them instead of planting for pretty.
Jeanette Marie Foley passed away at the age of 66 in Jacksonville, Arkansas on October 9, 2025. She was born on April 29, 1959 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to her late parents Joseph and Elizabeth Yersak.
Jeanette left behind three children to continue her havoc, Jill, Tina, David; and bonus children, Shelly and Amber. Grandchildren include Skylar, Lily, Kamryn, Amilia, Willy, Joey, John, Julius, and Kayla.
Her husband also waits on this side with us, Ron, who saw she was taken care of when she needed it the most. She met Ron later in life, but didn’t let that stop them from experiencing the most life could offer together. They have lived in St. Louis, Massachusetts, and Arkansas together, collected cats, watched children and grandchildren grow, and grew themselves. They liked to watch football and hummingbirds in the yard together, and also visit with the kids.
She is reunited with both her parents, her daughter Vicky, her brother Chuck and sister Kathy. As well as her mother-in-law and friend, Margie.
Jeanette will be very missed by her friends and family. There will not be a public service at this time.
The family’s wish is that whoever reads this takes a CPR or basic life saving course.
