

Jimmie Charles Mashburn, 83, of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on June 27, 2026, in the comfort of his own home surrounded by loved ones. Jimmie was born on September 24, 1942. Jimmie’s parents were Michael and Cleo Tanzela.
Jimmie proudly served his country for 7 years in the US Army. He was known for his faith in Jesus Christ, love for music and selflessness toward others. He was a member of First Assembly of God, North Little Rock, Arkansas.
In 1988 Jim and Margie opened a childcare center in North Little Rock, together they owned and operated JFK Early Learning Center for 25 years. Jim loved his three girls unconditionally, until his grandsons came along and after that the girls took the back burner. Jim loved to spend days on the lake with his family, Lake Degray was his happy place. Jimmie also enjoyed fishing and hunting, and water skiing.
Jimmie is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marjorie Louise Mashburn of North Little Rock, Arkansas; three daughters, Karrie Pugh (Byron), Lesleigh House (Al), Kristan Gateley (Glenn); grandchildren, Blake Pugh (Sydney), Blayne Pugh (Lauren), Sami Hynum (Matthew), Alex House (Stevie), Kaycee Matsutomo (Yusei), Erin Thompson (Clayton); and twelve great-grandchildren.
Jimmie is proceeded in death by his parents Michael and Cleo Tanzela, siblings Jack Mashburn and Carol Habel and grandson Tanner Harvey.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 2, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. with funeral services following at 11:00 a.m. at Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, AR. Entombment will be at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
