Joe T. Simmons, 75 of Mayflower, AR passed away Dec. 22, 2025. He was born in Nashville, TN to Granville Porter Simmons and Minnie Kemp Simmons. Joe was a faithful member of Seventh Day Adventist Church in Conway, AR. He enjoyed camping, playing racket ball, volleyball, chess, and playing cards, especially Rook. He loved his job working for Little Debbie Distribution Company. He was the #1 safe miles driver in the country. For one year for Mckee trucking company.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Jean Carol Simmons; parents; infant brother, Granville Simmons, and infant daughter, Heather Simmons.
He is survived by his children, Angie Ford, Tim Simmons, Tracy Downy, and Shana Revels; grandchildren, Michael Simmons, TJ Downey, and Jayden Wilcox-Revels; sister, Joann (Bill) Higgins of Ooltewah, TN, brother, Kenneth (Wanda) Simmons of Cleveland, TN; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A Visitation will be held Saturday December 27, 2025 at 9:30 AM at Rest Hills Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Internment to follow at 10:00 AM at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
