John graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree from Duke, and a PhD from Georgia. He was commissioned a 2Lt in the United States Army in 1965 and retired a LTC in December of 1994.
He is survived by a niece and 3 nephews as well as step-children. John will be missed by many colleagues and a special friend, Lynn Hook.
A graveside service with honors will be held at Arkansas State Veteran’s Cemetery on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. Honorary pallbearers will be Col (Ret.) Phillip Lipsmeyer, LTC (Ret.) Russell Mathis, Jim Wilkins, Janice Simmons, Deb Mathis. Griffinleggettresthills.com.
