John and I worked together at River Valley Tractor. John was a heavy equipment Salesman, and at the time I was the Service Manager. John would often come to my office with a request to get equipment ready for a Sale. My office was extremely busy, and John was always polite and say, "When you could, please get this equipment ready for the sale." I would try to expedite John's request quickly. I was always partial to John. I would secretly refer family and friends to John, when they where looking to purchase equipment. It was not only because John was knowledgeable of the equipment, but because he was charismatic and created customer relationships. I knew that when working with John, that together we could create lifetime customers. John told me that I had the hardest job. It was because he was a Service Manager at one time, and we had that in common. One day I came to my office with a message of encouragement written in red on the dry erase board. It stated" I WOKE UP THIS MORNING AND HAD A PLACE TO GO WHERE I AM GAINFULLY EMPLOYED. WHEN I LEAVE HERE, I HAVE A PLACE TO GO WHERE PEOPLE LOVE ME. TODAY IS A GOOD DAY. AMEN!!! :)
I was not surprised to find out that John had wrote that message on the board. I am no longer in that office, and the message is still on the board. Thank you John for all the hard work, dedication, and encouragement that you brought my way.

John is loved by so many and never met a stranger. He swore he hated cats, but managed to take care of quite a few! Took a couple of precious babies to the animal shelter so they would be taken care of. Prayers for family and friends- he is so missed!

When we were kids (13) I hit a pitch Johnny threw over the left field fence at Sylvan Hills foul. Johnny came back to strike me out. He never let me forget it even mentioning it in his inscription in my senior yearbook. I can remember him smiling every time he rubbed me about it. So sorry to hear of his passing. Rest in peace Johnny.
